The product
PRODUCERS / HOUSEHOLDS / COMMERCE
What it brings together
- Producer storefronts
- Food and product discovery
- Origin and availability
- Customer ordering
- Fulfillment coordination
Bring the producer closer to the purchase.
Convi Market is being planned as a producer-to-home marketplace. Households would be able to discover the people and businesses behind their food, understand what is available and order through a connected experience. Producers would gain a clearer place to present their products and reach customers. The market is being designed around participating producers, serviceable locations and household demand.
WHY WE ARE BUILDING IT
The person growing it can be far from the customer buying it.
A customer may want to know where food comes from, while a producer wants a more direct route to the people who value it. Discovery, ordering and fulfillment still need to work together for either side to benefit. Convi starts with that relationship, making the producer visible and building the buying journey around the product’s origin, availability and destination.
The opportunity
PRODUCER-TO-HOME COMMERCE
Make direct trade useful to both sides.
The opportunity is more than a new storefront: the relationship and the economics need to work from producer to household.
Origin
Know the producer
Give customers useful context about the people and products they are choosing.
Access
Reach relevant households
Help participating producers present an offer to customers they can realistically serve.
Economics
A workable route to home
Connect pricing, ordering and fulfillment in a model that can support the producer as well as the platform.
Why this approach
PRODUCT PRINCIPLES
Keep the producer visible as the market grows.
Our thesis is a marketplace where direct connection remains useful after the first order.
01
Build around real availability.
Let products, seasonality and serviceable locations shape what customers see and can order.
02
Make the source part of the offer.
Use producer identity and product context to support discovery, rather than reducing every item to an interchangeable listing.
03
Validate the whole order.
Test the route from selection to fulfillment before expanding the number of producers or locations.
WHAT WE NEED TO GET RIGHT
The value has to survive fulfillment.
Producer economics — Fees and delivery costs must leave a worthwhile result for participating producers.
Availability — Fresh products need accurate listings and clear handling of changing supply.
Reliability — Fulfillment, product condition and customer support must fit the first market and product categories.
WHERE WE STAND / PLANNING
Planning a focused producer-to-home market.
Convi Market is in planning. We are defining the first producer group, customer area and fulfillment model. The next proof is an order that works for both the household receiving it and the producer supplying it.
Next:
• Choose the first producers and customer area.
• Test the storefront and ordering journey.
• Validate fulfillment and producer economics.
